Stabilization and Reform Board of Commissioners

The Council of the District of Columbia passed legislation establishing a two-year, temporary, Stabilization and Reform Board of Commissioners for the agency. Initially proposed by Mayor Muriel Bowser and introduced by Chairman Phil Mendelson, the legislation was designed to ensure the agency has the governing resources to improve our policies, processes, operations, finances and overall agency effectiveness.

This new board focuses on members with breadth and specific expertise in different aspects of affordable housing, finance and operations. It is important to note that the restructured board also retains representatives from public housing and our voucher program and now includes the President of the Citywide Advisory Board to ensure that residents across the District have a leadership voice in how we move the agency forward.
