Effective in 2026, the nine-member DC Housing Authority (DCHA) Board of Commissioners will include two Resident Commissioners, who are elected by DCHA public housing residents. 

Polls were open Oct. 29 and Oct. 30 for public housing residents to vote for the sole candidate running for Resident Commissioner. Their votes determine which candidate will serve in one of the two Resident Commissioner seats. 

The preliminary ballot count for the October 2026 Resident Commissioner Election is: 

Julz (Julemi) White: 146 
Write-in votes: 8 
Blank ballots: 2
