DCHA Launches New Website to Improve Accessibility & User Experience
WASHINGTON, DC [Nov. 5, 2026] – The District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) announced today the launch of its newly redesigned website, which was rebuilt, reorganized and updated to be more user-friendly, intuitive and accessible. Available at www.dchousing.org, the new site reflects DCHA’s continual efforts to enhance customer service and transparency.
Mobile-friendly and fully responsive, the site has a streamlined menu that makes it easier for visitors to find information about DCHA programs and services; provides clearer paths for public housing residents, voucher families and landlords to access common tasks and services; and improves accessibility and usability across all devices. Informed by input from DCHA staff, public housing residents, voucher participants and landlords, and other stakeholders; a comprehensive review of peer websites; and analysis of customer inquiries to the DCHA Call Center, the site aims to address common questions and concerns.
“With the launch of the new website, DCHA is demonstrating its commitment to open communication,” said DCHA Board Chair Raymond Skinner. “By creating a more user-friendly and informative online presence, the agency is taking an important step towards strengthening DCHA’s relationship with public housing residents, voucher families, landlords and the broader District community.”
“Clear communication is essential to DCHA’s mission and was paramount in the creation of our new website. Designed to improve access to information, increase transparency, and simplify the user experience, the upgraded and redesigned website is the latest milestone in our ongoing progress,” said DCHA Executive Director Nicole Wickliffe. “It aims to foster a better understanding of our affordable housing programs – and in turn, empower DCHA families and District landlords for program success.”
The new site went live on Oct. 21, 2026. Following its launch, DCHA will reengage key stakeholders to solicit feedback, which the agency will then use to further refine the website in support of our residents, clients and customers
