DCHA provides language accommodations, such as translation services and interpreters, to individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP) or a non-English proficiency (NEP) to ensure equal access to housing programs and services.
Examples of language accommodations include:
- Translation of a document, form, flyer, email, text message or letter received from DCHA
- Interpreter for an appointment with DCHA (transfer briefing, eligibility interview, etc.)
- Interpreter for an event organized by DCHA
- Interpretation provided over the phone using DCHA language access line
