The D.C. Housing Authority welcomed residents from throughout the District at its Keys to Success as an HCVP Participant event, where staff from the agency’s Housing Choice Voucher Program were available to meet with attendees.

Taking place at The Panorama Room at 1600 Morris Road SE on Tuesday, April 2nd, the Keys To Success event provided current HCVP households and D.C. families interested in the voucher program the opportunity to engage directly with staff and ask questions about their unique situations.

HCVP staff addressed questions related to eligibility, leasing, inspections, mobility search assistance and mediation; led informational workshops on transfer briefings and rent reasonableness; and offered support to those interested in registering for DCHA’s online RentCafé portal.

Additional agencies and organizations also participated in the event. Representatives from WMATA helped attendees enroll in its Metro Lift program and sign up for Senior SmarTrip cards, while officials from D.C.’s Department of Aging and Community Living and Office of the Tenant Advocate, national non-profit Equal Rights Center, and the Office of Councilmember Trayon White (Ward 8) offered details on their respective services and programs.
