DCHA Call Center Resumes Service Following Brief Outage

April 17, 2024 11:01 AM

The D.C. Housing Authority Call Center’s main phone number was back online following a brief disruption to service on Wednesday, April 17.

The Call Center resumed normal operations around 1:15 p.m., following a roughly two-hour outage. A temporary outage also occurred Monday afternoon from approximately 2 p.m. to 4p.m.

Thank you for your understanding as DCHA resolved the situation. DCHA asks for your patience over the next several weeks as an increase in call volume is anticipated due to seasonal changes and the uptick may result in intermittent technical issues. We will continue to monitor the Call Center’s systems and communicate any changes to service via our website and social media platforms.

In addition to contacting the DCHA Call Center at (202) 535-1000, public housing residents with immediate property concerns or maintenance requests should continue to contact their property manager. For public housing residents with other questions or concerns, and Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) households, please find other resources on our website.  HCVP households can also schedule an in-person appointment on our online booking webpage.
