Unique
in its diversity of neighborhoods and residents, the Rock Creek Region
is responsible for the operations at 26 properties and 39 scattered
site dwellings throughout the northwest, southwest and northeast sections
of the District. Our portfolio includes multi-family properties, senior/disabled
developments and homeownership properties. In all, DCHA Rock Creek has
oversight and management responsibility for a total of 3942 public housing
units, with almost 2000 units specifically designated for senior/disabled
residents. Some units have also specifically been modified for the mobility
impaired
A
major function of the Region is to keep a pulse on the heartbeat of
the many residents, constituents and stakeholders who are impacted by,
or exert influence on our housing stock, and to respond appropriately
to their needs. We find pride in ensuring that small problems do not
grow in size by focusing on continuous monitoring and interactive activities.
Our highly motivated and experienced full service Management and Maintenance
teams serve our clients/residents by living the regional motto, “Committed
to the Community”.
Being
“Committed to the Community”, insures that DCHA Rock Creek
keeps in line with its goals and objectives that we believe will make
it a model of success, both in terms of resident satisfaction and positive
community growth. These goals include improving service delivery and
expanding the Region’s circle of influence. Major steps are being
taken to maintain our properties in such a way that they blend into,
and sometimes even enhance their neighboring communities. High standards
are expected from all staff as well as from residents to insure the
fruits of our labor do not go unrecognized.
