Canal Park

The Canal Park is a three (3) acre LEED-Certified Gold sustainable park located near the Washington National’s Ballpark in Southeast Washington, D.C. The Canal Park is part of the vibrant Capitol Quarter neighborhood and includes a restaurant building for the Park Tavern and an area that is an ice skating rink during fall/winter months and a waterpark during the summer months. Canal Park Development Association (CPDA) managed the park’s development and DCHE provided $13.5 million of New Markets Tax Credits to HELP complete construction.
