DCHA MENU

The first group of Park Morton residents temporarily relocating so the District of Columbia Housing Authority can apply interim controls on their units have successfully moved to two different hotels in the NoMa neighborhood.

Residents received necessary information from DCHA staff in a series of public meetings and then on the day of the move. Professional movers helped residents prepare and move belongings to the center of their rooms. Residents also received transportation and per diem meal cards to assist them while they are in the hotel. More DCHA staff greeted the residents at their hotels to answer any questions they may have and help get them situated in their rooms. DCHA staff will be available in the hotel lobbies during the week in case a resident has further questions.

This was the first move in a series that will occur at Park Morton until all of the interim controls have been completed at the property in August. Each hotel stay will last one week.
