Members  from the soon-to-open Spokane Resource Center in Washington State traveled to D.C. recently and visited the District of Columbia Housing Authority's EnVision Center, also known as the Southwest Family Enhancement and Career Center. The visit was featured in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Region III publication, HUDLines.

The article highlighted Secretary Ben Carson's signature initiative, the EnVision Centers, for providing opportunities for residents to gain self-sufficiency and creating public/private partnerships, using DCHA's facility as an example.

Harris as he led the recent tour. The Center is also open to the greater community and houses a multi-purpose room, training room, kitchen area and a computer lab.
