Several District of Columbia Housing Authority communities celbrated the Thanksgiving holiday with their neighbors, includding James Creek, Syphax Garden, and Carroll Apartments.

The James Creek Resident Council was able to feed more than 150 Southwest community residents for the holiday.

Residents were able to enjoy a hot catered meal, music, and a warm inviting atmosphere. The resident council allowed residents to experience a family-oriented environment, where residents of all ages were able to sit and enjoy their meals together like a big family.

A similar restaurant-style set up as James Creek, seniors at the Carroll Apartments also ate together as a family. They enjoyed their catered meal, dancing, and each others company.

Following the Syphax Garden resident and property management meeting, residents were able to enjoy their meal together and discuss plans for the community in 2019.
