The District of Columbia Housing Authority celebrated five years of leadership excellence at the regular Board of Commissioners meeting.

DCHA Executive Director Adrianne Todman was honored by the board on December 9 for her outstanding service to the agency.

“She has done a yeoman’s job of leading this agency and has put sound practices in place,” said DCHA Board Chairman Terri Thompson, who listed more efficient performance audits and wait list updates as some of Todman’s achievements. “We appreciate her and wish to recognize her.”

Following a standing ovation from her staff, Todman said, “It has been an honor to do this work. It is hard work…it comes with pressure.”

She said not only is there pressure to perform well, but also to “take criticism with grace.”

“I’ve been able to do that because of the people here in front of me,” she said, pointing to DCHA staff in the audience. “Thank you for your leadership.”
