Executive Director

Welcome to the District of Columbia Housing Authority’s (DCHA) new and improved website! This site is full of useful and interesting information on our programs and services, and it has been designed to meet the needs of our diverse group of clients.

You will find general information on our public housing and Housing Choice Voucher (formerly Section 8) programs, and detailed information on each of our well maintained properties. If you are interested in applying for housing assistance, you can download a copy of our Housing Application.

For those of you that would like to explore employment opportunities at DCHA, you will find a listing of the authority’s position announcements. Potential business partners will also have access to more information on doing business with DCHA and, in the near future, will be able to view our solicitations for services and equipment.

Our residents will find information on various services available to them at the Office of Resident Services' page. The website also includes information on homeownership opportunities offered by DCHA, and details on our award winning HOPE VI sites.

During your visit, please view the online version of our excellent newsletter, Excel. And take a look at our mission video, which includes great footage of our many exciting initiatives. You will find that DCHA has come a long way and is becoming a premier provider of affordable housing.

Our goal for this website is to provide you with relevant information…quickly and efficiently.

This attention to the needs of our clients is one of our core business values. DCHA’s Board of Commissioners, early on, established a mandate for DCHA; that we would develop a client-focused corporate culture. The staff and I strive to meet that mandate every day.
