Commissioner
Cohen is the Senior Vice President for the AFL-CIO Housing Investment
Trust. She is responsible for structuring multi-faceted urban
economic development and housing projects that have extensive
financial support from local and state funding sources.
She
has been active in the fields of housing production, economic
development, and urban planning for more than 30 years.
In
the fall of 2000, Ms. Cohen was appointed Visiting Senior Associate
at the Great Cities Institute at the University of Illinois
in Chicago.
Ms.
Cohen was appointed by former D.C. Mayor Anthony Williams to
the District of Columbia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners
in July 2000, and currently serves as Vice Chair.
